just wondering what you guys would reccomend as far as durability and quality for 6.4 x20 or bigger scope i have heard that leupold mark 4 8 power scopes have not got a good track record just wondering ??

They're all pretty much price fixed. I'd get the 5.5-22x, the 8-32x has less internal travel.
I buy mine used because of the fixed price.

I have a Zeiss 6.5-20x50 with turrets,excellent scope,very clear optics. Paid $800 for it.

The Zeiss Conquest is a good scope, but has very little adjustment range. 40MOA total elevation travel. You'd need to use a forward canted base in order to gain that elevation for farther distance shooting. You might not be able to get a 100yd zero with it using the canted base.
