Just want to load some semi precise blasting ammo for a bolt action savage. Wondering what are the best choices out of the cheaper stuff, I am very new to reloading but not to shooting. Looking at Hornady, lake city, and some others. Any suggestions probably will load 69gr Sierra matching or one of the Hornady bthp.

Once fired Lake City is excellent, and has the highest water capacity. There are several places that sell it sized and primer pockets swaged, ready to load. I shoot a lot of Lapua too in matches as a confidence booster, since it doesn't shoot better as far as I can tell.
When I think cheap brass its either rem/federal/norma bulk cheap loaded ammo or lake city once fired bulk.
