Rifle Scopes Good riser rail w/slope?

I have a 35mm scope + yhm riser rail, the YHM seems to loosen after a hundred or so rounds so it's gotta go (even loctited it, still came loose). What is a good riser mount preferably with maybe 10-20moa built into it? Price is a factor too, would like it to be 100$ or less if possible.

think about this for a moment.....

you got a stick that launches a ...at best a 600yd or 700yd boolit....and a hubble telescope sized optics package that prolly got enough internal movement to make the shot at them distances.....

i would be looking for some high or EXhigh rings and call it good.

If you absolutely think you need a riser, then the Badger Ordnance 22MOA AR riser is the way to go.

HOWEVER, I gotta go with BOLTRIPPER on this one! There is ZERO need for a riser or a canted base on a .223 AR (I'm assuming it is a .223 since you didn't say for an AR-10, etc.). As long as you have at least 25MOA usable elevation adjustment internally in your scope to dial up from a 100yd zero, you will reach the end of the line with a .223 long before you get to the end of your scope's adjustments running proper match bullets 55gr and heavier.

Buy a quality set of 35mm rings and be done with it. It is one less thing you have to worry about in terms of things working lose on your rifle or otherwise going tits up.

It's 308, I have ~10 mils of up left. The deal is that I bought it used and it came with really nice rings - really nice rings that aren't tall enough to just mount it, so I need a riser. The YHM I had laying around so that's what I've been using, but it's just not working. As far as cant goes I don't really need it, I just thought it might be nice to have a little extra adjustment (it takes me ~13 mils to get to 1k, I usually dial 10 and then hold over, mp8 reticle plenty of lines).

Since its a 308, the Badger Rail is definitely the way to go. They are excellent units and you won't have the troubles you are having with the YHM riser. They also fit nicely in your budget at around $85 give or take.

That extra 22moa on the Badger is good to have, i have one on my DPMS .260 + shimmed it another 10moa = good out to 1200

</div></div>This is a good solution IF you have an acceptable mounting position on your receiver. On my AR upper, to establish the proper eye relief requires the front ring positioned where the collar is that attaches the handguard. This necessitates either a riser or a cantilevered one piece mount.

BCP I was going through the same dilemma needing a canted base for my DPMS LR-308 (I hope too mount an IOR 35mm tube on it)and just ordered the Badger 22moa rail for it today
