I recently picked up a new Remmy 5R 20" .308, I mounted my PST and worked up a 175 Berger HVLD load just in time for our VA deer season. I took three does over 600 yards and couldn't be happier with this rifle. It seems to shoot anything I feed it really well. I worked up a 175 Amax load and the results are outstanding!

Outside left was coldbore, bottom outside right I pulled. This is a 10 rd. group fired today at 100 yards. Top two outside was last rounds fired and I feel like the barrel and can where getting hot since these were fired in one string.

Once fired Lapua brass
178 Amax
41.5 grains AR Comp powder
FGMM 210 primer
2.80 OAL
2535 fps.

Remington 5R 20" w/can
Vortex PST FFP 6-24x50 FFP EBR-1 Mil
Bipod w/ rear bag

No, I started off with 175 Bergers and now the mentioned 178 Amax load. This rifle has shot these two bullets well.
