Got a new sharpener, it's AWSOME!

This thing was able to put a razor edge on everything from my Benchmade pocket knife to a 11" carving knife. It's the coolest thing I have ever used. I have never been able to hold a bevel using a stone and this thing leaves a better than factory edge. You guys should try it.

That is $250 on sale for $200 and is a derivative of the original lansky system which is what I use.

Looks very nice.

I've been using a Lansky for over 20 years, and being able to use it on a flat surface without worrying about clearance for those little rods looks like a big improvement.

Those types of sharpeners work really well for larger blade knives, but don't work as well for pocketknives.

It worked well on my smaller Benchmade pocket knives, but it really worked best on skinners and kitchen knives. It cuts a really nice bevel.

You guys need to get out more. Try a Belgian coticule with a slurry stone.
I have my fighter, bowie, combat knife as well as my straits all shave ready and make sure you strop the blades when you are done!!!
Sharpening stones.
If you need some ideas on proper techniques to use stones here is a link info for honing a blade with a video.

Seriously though all my knives are rediculously sharp.
You can use a leather belt or newspaper or something like that as a strop. Remember the X pattern.
Badger and blade has is a great resource for getting things rediculously sharp!
