Picked up a Remington 700 308 varmint barreled action today from a fellow Hide member.
Next on my list is a MCM HTG stock for a somewhat-M40A1 build for my next hunting rifle and have the barrel chopped to 24" down from 26".
Thinking about a Nikon Monarch 3-12x42 duplex to top her off.
Hopefully this will turn out to be a pretty sweet whitetail slayer. Anyone think I can get .75moa out of this baby with some FGMM?
I got a box of Hornady SST 165gr that will be my hunting load, but I have a bunch of 168gr Berger bullets (I think they're Berger) my father and I will load up just to shoot.
Anyone done a similar build? I'd love to see what you've done and I would really like to see your optics mounts as I'm still on the fence about what to use (rail or Leupold 1pc base).
