It's not vintage but for now it will do. I found a Leupold repro on ebay and put it on my 223. When this barrel is done I plan to build an M40 clone. Only difference is it will be a 223. This is my fun rifle
One is scheduled to be used on a pre 64 Winchester M70 I built to be a USMC tribute. It will go green after I finish playing with the Unertl on it.
The other greenie is going on a .223 M40 I'm having built.
The third I own is in use on a .308 M40.
I think they are a fun scope. I likely won't shoot any of the three rifles beyond 600 yards and will use the mil reticle to hold and not use the coin slot adjusters.
Originally my plan was to put it on my M70 but since found one of those Malcolm repro scopes for it. The barrel on that 223 is an m40 taper a real truck axle, when that stops shooting this rifle will be built as an M40 clone.
Great glass I would love to try and stretch it out as far as I can.
