Range Report got the boy out to 1000 today!!

got my son out today, and let him stretch the legs on his 308. first time for him connecting on steel at 1150. to say the least he was stoked.
I was too....

he is pretty good with that 308 putting 3 out of 4 just under MOA at 850 today also, but to get the 1000+ hit today made the hole trip( he did put 2 on the 1150 in 8 shots) I have a feeling i just created a monster, cuz all he wanted to do was stay there for 1 more hit.. LOL

Man, what i would give to have such a beautiful place to shoot at well over 1k... Those places just dont exist in WI unless youre good friends with a farmer

yeah, very luck to live where we do. ill get some pic of his steel hits when i get time tonight.

here is the hits from my 9 year olds 1150 yard target, 2 out of 8 and the misses were left and right from wind switches missing only by 1/3 mill, and one call he said he pulled high and hit 1/4 mill high and 1/4 mill left. the target is a 18" plow disk. less then 4" of vertical on the 2 hits. very proud dad here. lol

yeah, i was surprized at the speed myself when cronoing it, the chamber is set up for 208 A-max, but those are so hard to get and i got thousands of the 190 smk's so that s what we are using.
