Great site lots of good info for a new guy thanks

Just want to say thanks to everybody this site is full of great info trying to do all my reading and researching so im not asking the same questions everybody else has. I have a Rem 700 in 30-06 that im going to break the ice with I have a chotae stock waiting for it when I get off this job looking into getting a better scope for it I know its not the most popular now a days but think it will be an ok caliber to cut my teeth on going to start out with some good factory ammo then try and some hand loading deff have way more reading to do in that area. any info would be great or if you can think of any good posts regarding my platform or situation and point me in the right direction

take it to its limit over time then re barrel the action either in 30-06 or something bigger I have access to 1000yds plus about 45min away

Thanks I am out of town working 7-12s on night shift so im reading every morning till I fall asleep when I get home ill be shooting every chance I get
