That's exactly what I used too! I wrapped mine in insulation and then a layer of plywood to keep the heat in...works great. The wheels are probably the best part!

I put 2 inches of acoustic fireproof insulation on the inside then covered it in 18 gauge painted aluminum sheeting so I do not get any dust from the insulation. I added some 220 heating coils that I picked up from a kiln supply company and used a PID controller I had for a smoker and it was GTG. The wheels are really nice and it looks and is very professional.

I have a unit almost identical to that, to which we made into a smoker. Did this about 25-28 years ago. That thing works fantastic.

Can't go wrong for that price. Great catch.
