Greetings Gents & Ladies,
Long-time lurker, finally signed up!
I'm a long time AR15 guy (those of you on ARFCOM I'm of the same username), and while I've had my Remington 700 for a few years, I've just now got into shooting it and learning about precision rifles and long range shooting. Wife and I moved up from Kansas City area here to central Oregon last year, and are loving it---particularly loving the COSSA range. I've met some great folks out there, some of them members here on SH. It's great to finally have a place to shoot at distance, and meet folks that enjoy the same.
I just hit my first 1000 yards the other day, and I'm hooked already... Hope to learn a lot more on here, and maybe push that distance out in the future.
As noobs go, I fully accept any razzing for stupid questions, but I assure you all I will use the "search" function as much as possible. And of course, thanks for having me.
Obligatory rifle pics:
Right now I'm learning on a Remington 700 in .308. It started life out as an SPS Tactical with a 1:12 barrel. Swapped out the barrel for a 1:10 from an AAC-SD model. The top photo shows current setup--- I humbly ask for a pass on the ARMS rings, as they're a temporary solution
Trigger is factory X-mark, but I'm working my way up...
Glass is a Mark 4 3.5-10x40 M1 Mil-dot. It's in the process of being sold as I have an F1 3.5-15x50 inbound.
