Anyone know of a GOOD gunsmith for a 91/30 PU mount install on an ex-sniper?

Talked to a few people and they said they could probably do it, but for this project with a genuine ex-sniper as well as an original base/matching scope, I am not going to dick around.

Is the rifle a Tula or Izhevsk sniper?

I can do it for you but I charge more for a Tula. It just more work with the blind pin wholes.

here's a couple links to a few I'm just finishing and an older Fin capture that was the first one I ever did.

The stock is easy it's the receiver that's a POS on a TULA. TULA did not drill the locator pin holes all the way through the receiver wall. The stub of the pin has to be pulled out from the outside. On the Izzy once the weld is removed you just drive the pin into the inside as the hole goes all the way through. Much less work. PM me if your interested in having the work done.

Its not a bad job once you get rolling. I picked up a PU with scope and mount only to learn the mount was canted / crooked which drove me nuts. The only way to solve the problem permanently was some machining....

Now my mount is on correctly. I also had to TIG weld and mill off the metal tab to adjust the windage on the scope mount base. The post moves in the scope and mine was not centered correctly. Doing a little math to figure out how much material was needed for mechanical zero it was easy. Now I have mechanical zero with my scope post in the center of view.

My PE sniper I did from scratch and it was a LOT easier than fixing someones attempt at scope mounting.
