Hey everyone,

I'm new here but just wanted to ask for some advice / info. I have a 700 action that I want to have bedded in my new McMillan A5 stock. Does anyone know of a good gunsmith in the Boston'ish area that can do this? I am considering sending everything to GA precision, but would rather not deal with shipping if someone near me can do it.

Thanks for your help.

This is what I was going to say, I have a custom 260 he built and the thing is a hammer,

Rem 700 SA Trued
Tactical Bolt knob installed
Kreiger Barrel 1/8.5tw 28"
Manners T4A
X-Mark Pro tuned by mike, smooth and crisp about 2lbs
EGW Base
TPS Rings
Nightforce 8-32 BR NP-R2

I will get some pics up Later

He has very fast turn around time

Northeastshooters.com has everything

I used David Santurri in Attleboro even though it was an hour long drive.

Business end customs in tewskberry is really good

Warner Tool in Keene, NH would be my first choice. Al and Dan are top notch and you won't be dissapointed. I have seen nothing but first class rifles come out of that shop. I have a build in the works there as we speak.

Just my 2 cents!

+1 for Mike. I had a duty stick worked on by him and was very pleased. Once my new acion and barrel come in, he'll be doing the gunsmithing...

Re: Gunsmith in the Boston area

Well it took me longer than I thought to get my gun to Mike, but I just got it back from him. He had it done in no time, did a great job bedding the action, and even painted the bedding OD so it matched the rest of my stock. I can't say enough about Mike. Anyone looking for a smith in MA. He is the man!
