There are great gunsmiths all over but if you can find one local to you then it will save you time and money. Maybe we can recommend one within a short drive of you.
Did you ever think of going with a Remage Barrel? That is what I am doing with two Remington 700 actions I am building. The tools need are minimal, just a set of go/no-go gauges and barrel nut wrench to install. To take the barrel factory barrel off, you will need an action wrench and barrel vice.
