Hey guys I am looking for a Ballistic Rangefinder for hunting and PRS. I assume one with storable profiles and applied ballistics is the best bet. I will use with multiple guns and calibers. What do you recommend? Gunwerks G7 BD2500, Sig Sauer kilo3000, Sig kilo2400 other?

thanks

I'm happy with the 2400ABS except for a few quirks. The anemometer doesn't play well with Android, so the upside is that I have to learn to read the wind. Even if it did work, wind at point A is rarely the same at point B and all points in between.

FWIW, the longest shot I'd ever taken before was 500 yards. I arranged to meet a member here to buy the 2400. The evening before I downloaded the app and created a profile. I drove up and bought the 2400, synched it to the profile in the app and made a first round hit at 906 yards. Despite the anemometer not working with Android and the app sometimes crashing when I launch it without the rangefinder powered on to pair with, I'm happy with it.

The BR2500 seems cool - but it’s priced right there with buying a Kestrel 5700 4DOF AND a Leica 2800.

I can’t see it being better than that combo.

I am right there with ya. The main advantage is an all in one system. I am sure I will be happy with Leica/Kestrel, Gunwerks or the Sig2400ABS. Honestly think it will be a coin flip.

for hunting having only one thing to worry about is ideal but hard to compare if you can have kestrel and Leica ready to go.
