Anyone using a h or h2 buffer in mk12 mod 0, any thoughts yea or nay. Those who are, have you noticed any benefit compared to standard buffer.

I run a Spike's ST-T2 buffer in mine with zero issues. The ST-T2 is roughly the same weight as the H2 buffer, but adds the benefit of no sliding buffer weights (Spike's uses HD Tungsten powder instead) which in my experience, really does a great job of cutting down on noise and mitigating recoil. I have also run a basic H2 without having any function issues at all.

Ord, pretty sure its has a cs or tubbs spring in it. I will have to check though, shooting BH mk262 or my own 77grainers. I looked at the Spikes, thanks for the reminder about it being tungsten and not sliding weights, may have to give it a try.
Should be fine running that setup/ammo. I run a variety of springs but I'm running a Wolff XP in mine right now bc sometimes it gets shot suppressed and I don't have the benefit of an adjustable gas block (obviously) bc it is setup like a true Mk12 MOD0 (externally anyway).
H2 or ST-T2 will work perfect. With 5.56 pressure ammo you could get away with an H3 but if you run it hard and don't clean as much, an H2 should fit the bill.
I have a BCM SPR setup with a carbine stock and it doesn't run with an H2 buffer however it is 100% with a standard weight buffer. I think that it is one of those things where if your rifle is overgassed then give it a try otherwise not worth it.
Just a heads up. If you have to run an H of H2 buffer something is wrong.
While I would NOT do this on a work or combat gun for the range and 3gun its OK. I installed a LMOS JP carrier, Tubbs flatwire spring, adj JP gas block and EMPTIED THE WEIGHTS OUT OF MY BUFFER SO IT WEIGHED ONLY .30oz YES 1/3RD OF AN OUNCE. I then tuned the rifle with the gas block to eject at 3:30pm and it ran fine with no failures of any kind for thousands of rounds and virtually no recoil impulse. It felt like I was shooting a loud 10/22 rifle. I was also running a SF brake on the front.
