Couldn't find anything in the search so I will ask some questions about my new HTR. I picked up a very lightly used HTR in 300 wsm that looks and feels great, but haven't shot it yet. I was just wondering if there are any experiences with this brand and particular rifle out there. Experience docent have to be with this caliber just want to know if they are real shooters and not to finicky about different loads.

Re: H.S Precision HTR

I have one in 308. Great trigger out of the box. Changed to a Manners with the mini-chassis.
Will shoot under 1/2 MOA with FGMM.
I'm happy with mine.

Re: H.S Precision HTR

I had one in 300 win mag and loved the way it shot. It's a good rifle for the price.
The best I could shoot with it was 3/4 MOA but that was my poor shooting a big caliber without a muzzlebreak. I would love to see one of the takedown versions of these rifles, I hear they are an feat of engineering.

Re: H.S Precision HTR

Mine doesn't have a brake, but due to the weight the kick isn't bad at all. Mine has consistantly shot out to 1500 yards and has dones 3" groups at 600 yards, they are very accurate rifles.

Got a HTR in Feb. in 338 LM. Now my favorite rifle.Half the cost of anAI and shoots better'n me.If I had the coin I'd get the new 3 caliber takedown.

Love the stock color, I sent one back to them one time and had it painted just like this. My HTR stock is black w/ grey web and it looks good but I have always liked the Urban Camo they have for some reason.

Re: H.S Precision HTR

Got mine in Jan 09,--- took 8.5 months from time of order but I think it was worth the wait. Its chambered in 30.06 and has the smoothest action of any bolt gun I ever used. The rifle is capable of 1/2 MOA at 100 yards as promised by HS Precision. The second photo is a 300 yard 10 round shot group from Apr 09. Wish I could say I always shoot that good but alas, that is not always the case.

I had a HTR and it shot well. The reason I sold it was I needed some new optics. Sometimes you have to trade something you really like to get something you really need. That is just the way it is. I think you will like the rifle very much.

Re: H.S Precision HTR

I enjoy shooting my HTR chambered in 300WM. I didn't get a brake for it, but I don't really think it has a lot of recoil. The rifle is easily capable of meeting HS's sub .5 moa guarantee. The barrel doesn't foul easily and cleans up quickly. It doesn't seem to be very picky as to what I feed it, it shoots it all fairly well. I have been working with H1000 and 208Amax's lately. The Teflon finish has held up very well. I like the stock. The trigger is crisp. I have the older style DBM, they came out with a newer "improved" model this year. I haven't had any issues with the older style, but some did and the new style addresses those concerns. I really don't have any complaints about the rifle and have no trouble recommending HS Precision.
