H4198 and IMR 4198. Is the data on these two powders interchangable?

My burning rate chart says that H4198 is the same burning speed as IMR4198. Ofcourse you still have to consider slight changes from batch to batch . If you start with a slight reduction from the recommended loads and work from there then it would be no problem as the gun tells you when the pressure is getting too high.

You won't blow yourself up if that is what you are asking. Performance is another story.

I tend to lean towards Hodgdon powders, so if I had to choose between the 2, I would go with the H.
