I did a load dev with IMR 4451 and 147 ELDM in 260 and with a 26" barrel and 41.7gr of IMR 4451 I'm getting an average of 2786 fps.
I finally got my hands on some H4350 and I'm trying to come up with a new load. From what I've read, you need less powder with the H4350 to achieve similar velocities.

Do you know how much less powder are we talking about?

Your mileage may vary of course so I would suggest that your work up a set of loads using H4350 also. Shooting Hornady 140 ELDMs, Hornady cases, and CCI BR2 primers, my most accurate IMR 4451 load in my rifles was 41.8 grs. and the avg velocity was 2703. My most accurate H4350 load was 42.5 grs. at an avg velocity of 2751.

I actually did a load dev today. I'm using Paul Reid's method (http://www.texasprc.club/preidloaddev/)
With the 4451 I settled on 41.7 gr.

I did a similar test with H4350 and I think I should go with 41.2 gr. I started at 41.3gr. I should have probably started lower. But I didn't chrono the load.

I ended up at .4 grains lower with 4451 than with H4350 in my 20" 260 with a 140 ELDM.

Wow 41.2 sounds low for the .260 with H4350. I started my ladder at 42.5 and went all the way to 45. My rifle likes 43.5 with the 147 ELD-M's pushing them 2830 out of my 28" barrel. I am using new Peterson brass and the 43.5 shows absolutely no pressure. I had another node at 44.2 which was 2955 FPS but the primer had some cratering. I'm not that big into speed over accuracy so I'm sticking with the 43.5. I have not used the IMR 4451 yet on my .260 because I have about 16lbs of 4350 yet but I did get some to load some friends 6.5 Creedmore. It works great for the Creed but I did find it a bit sticky and hard to go down the funnel. Is this just me?

FYI and as a data point, I did a chrono today with 41.2 gr of H4350 and I'm getting an average of 2794 FPS with the 147 ELDM.

It’s time to start an argument with the wife and head to the reloading room to bask in the glory of my successful load development and drink a bunch of beer....

From the Texas PRC article... One of the funniest things I've read in a long time!
