Harbor freight ultra sonic cleaner

Hey guys,
I just picked up a little harbor freight ultrasonic cleaner and I have been using it to clean my ar15 bcgs. It does a pretty good job. But it doesn't remove the stains from the nickel boron like I was hoping. Anyway I was wondering if you guys have any good tips or cleaning solutions for cleaning 1911s and other side arms. I guess in general do you have any tips/warnings about using an ultra sonic cleaner. I've heard not to use simple green on aluminum. But I'm pretty new to using one.

You can also use a LITTLE BIT of Dawn. I am talking about a couple of drops.

Be super careful with the water. I had one of those and I let a little trickle of water run over the front and it fried and never worked again!!!

Try a little bit of Dawn or Lemi-shine.
