Looking for advice and/or suggestions for a stock maker. So far I've had a look at Canyon Creek, Macon Gunstocks, Richards Microfit, and RMS Custom Gunstocks. Haven't contacted anyone yet, just looking for now, but I'd like some opinions on them or suggestions for others. I have a few criteria I need met:

1. Reputable maker (not looking for world-renowned but someone held in good regard)
2. Quality work/material (not looking for anything super fancy or highly exotic, but not someone who uses cheap wood either)
3. Can replicate my existing stock or close enough (this will be a replacement for an old, cracked stock and I think I'd like to keep the same profile)
4. Provides a fully finished stock

I'd like it if they can do a bedding/fitting job too. It's not necessary for the stock maker to do it but would make things more convenient. I'm also open to suggestions for people who can do it separately.

Thank y'all,
Son of Dorn

Any reputable smith with a stock duplicator will be able to do this. The price will be what it is, unless you can find an in stock product that’s what you want, expect to pay for the labor.

Look for smiths that advertise rifles with wood stocks, or maybe try calling Chad Dixon @LongRifles Inc.

Paying for the work to have it copied (if I go with that) shouldn't be a problem. I expected I'd have to, since the original stock is of a style that seems less common on more modern vintage sporting rifles. I'll give LRI a look too. Do you know of anyone who's had experience with any of the makers I listed who might give some input? The more info I have, the better I can make a decision.

I found Wenig earlier but for now I'm ruling them out unless I want to get a blank from them. I'll add Doan Trevor to the list since they're confirmed to have a duplicator. Thanks!

@acudaowner Original stock is walnut and I don't see any reason to change that. American is fine, European would be better but not a necessity. Not looking for a particularly high grade or anything exhibition/presentation worthy but tight grain is desirable. I've had a look at bubinga/African rosewood, though; this is gonna be a reworked Mauser sporting rifle styled after the old African big game guns so having an African wood on it would be nice.
