I have 2 Hart barrels. One in 30 cal and one in 6mm. They are both benchrest quality.

I have one rifle with a Hart Barrel chambered in .308 win. It is of the highest quality. Never had a Shilen, so I can't compare.

Since the mid 60s, I've had over 20 Hart barrels; about half on benchrest rigs and the rest on varmint and deer rifles. I have never had a complaint. I am also a big fan of Krieger barrels, I have had several on BR and varmint rigs. As far as I am concerned as long as I have a good rifle smith fitting and chambering the barrel you can go with any of the top 5 barrels listed in the results of www.benchrestcentral.com
