Searching for a Savage action supplier for a run of guns (hopefully) but finding it impossibly frustrating to try and get any supply from Savage and I get the feeling from another thread while searching that this is normal. But I may be able to buy Savage actions from a 3rd party exporter. Or if available and good may just buy a Savage clone action if one actually exists (havent found anything to support that yet) if good enough or cheap enough to make good enough for just a regular rifle that guys can "make sporting" rather than the actual term "sporterize"
Whew that was a long sentence I think!
So yeah I could even take Stevens 200 actions and bead blast and refinish them a bit nicer and get say the Pacific tool and die stuff to make bolts and it would all be good.
As it is I may have to get the whole barreled action and DBM made and matched at the one location so that ius probably more likely to be a US location so I may be searching for the wrong thing and should be searching for a short run rifle maker that is a bit cheap and accurate (rather than blued) to make, match components and finish with a headspaced barrelled action matched to the DBM. In fact I'll take opinions on whether thats what I'm looking for as well and where to find that too!!!
