Has anybody ever used these Nosler bullets, and how did they fly?

I shoot them out of my 6.5x47 in front of some Varget and they shoot bug holes. what they dont do, is EXPAND at all. I scored center mass shots on some woodchucks, which actually ran 15yds before dying. Now when I hit them with a 140g AMAX, the wood chucks explode. For target shooting, the custom comps are fine. But I definitely would not shoot game with them.

The first time I shot the Custom Comps, I just threw the loads together to see what they would do. 36.5g of Varget, Lapua virgin 6.5x47 brass, CCI 450 primers, seated jammed into the lands. 5 shot group measured .361in at 100yds. I know I can push them even faster and play with the seating depth a bit to get even tighter groups. I wouldnt hesitate to buy them again.

Good to know, thanks.
Not only are they available, they are relatively inexpensive.
I picked up some 120 and 123 gr AMAXes not knowing what would shoot well with my new stick.

I'll pickup some of the Nosler CCs.
I have H4350, I4350, H4381, H4381SC, RL17, and 100V to try... my LGS would only let me buy 1 lb. of each powder and I figure I could probably come up with decent reloads using any of them if it came down to it. Should provide weeks and weeks of experimenting fun. Oh, and I have 12 lbs. of I4895, I might as well try some of that.

24" Brux 1:8.5 barrel on an R700.

scudzuki, the 140 nosler custom comps are great. 46.0gr H4831sc worked best for me. I'm on my last couple hundred of a 1K box I bought last year. I sorted them every which way (ogive length then weight) and pointed them - totally OCD but hey, I saved over $100 so I figured it was worthwhile to put in the extra time.

Anyway, they shoot great but just a bit lower BC than the scenars I was shooting before. I plan to try the 123 CC's next. Shootersproshop had a smokin deal on the 1K box recently... Now if I could just get some H4350 to run them with. If I can't find it, I'll use the H4831sc on hand, or maybe resort to a less popular powder that is actually available...

I used some of those nosler 140 cc's in my 260 nighthawk. Always shoot under 1/2 moa [out to 500 yds]. Hey kevin how about circulating some of those 139 scenars!.......dave
