Can the 40X rimfire be converted to a 17HMR?

It would take some doing, but I believe it could be done.

I do not know of anyone who has done it though.

Open the bolt face for a Magum case rim and replace the barrel. You may have to change the feed angle of the chartridge tray, maybe not with the bottle neck shape of the 17 HMR. If you do one how about letting us know how it turns out.

17M2 would be very simple and the HMR could be done with a few mods....
