Nikon Buckmasters 3-9x50 above, newly announced Sig Buckmasters 3-9x50 below. Both have a BDC reticle.

I’d be more inclined to think crimson trace did.
Those look a lot like the Nikon scope bodies.

Nikon had several lines, likely from different OEMs. Looking specifically at the Buckmasters, the scope body does look identical. But it's the fact that Sig is using the old Nikon line name that made me even compare to start with.

Buck Masters is a name that was not Nikon’s. It’s a magazine and organization. A spin off of Bass Masters from back in the day.

I have a 4.5-14 version with the mildot reticle I bought 14 or 15 years ago. It’s really good for the $250 I paid for it back then.

I had the 6-18 Buckmasters with the target turrets, from when it was their second best line after the Monarch. Some years later the Buckmasters was suddenly a $99 low end scope.

I had a 4.5-14 buckmasters it was a good scope.
Made in the Philippines.
