Spent a few hours every couple of days filing front sights to get a good 100 yard zero on some old percussions and flintlocks--- those boys back in the day really had to know their gun and be 110 anal about being consistent in the way they reloaded to squezze the accuracy out of those front stuffers. the you have flintlocks and thats another couple ball of wax all in itself! Fiddling around with the oldest of old school Breaks up the monotony

Something high on my list of stuff to make.

I plan on forging the lock and all the parts and all that, after I’ve finished put a Kibler kit. There’s just something about a flintlock and the squirrel woods that has always lit a fire in my imagination.
 
Old school was a whole different deal. And you only had one shot not a 10 rd mag.
Guess it makes ya appreciate what you have. Great post!
