I am wanting to put a brake on my 308 and I have them narrowed down to the PVA, Area 419 and Heathen. I am kinda leaning towards the Heathen. What are your thoughts and who is a good dealer to purchase through?

Pick the one that makes you the most giggly, because you’re not likely to notice a performance e difference between them. Or, pick the cheapest, because you’re not likely to notice a difference in performance. Or, pick the most expnsive, because someone on the line might otherwise notice you skimped out on your muzzle brake...

I used to think the same with using suppressor mount capable brakes. When you move to an APA/Hellfire or such you WILL notice a difference.

An important note is theat the 419 allows you to adapt a number of silencers so you don’t have to always give up shooting suppressed.

What do you have it on? How’s the recoil management? I’m running a Dasher so more concerned with the blast back but just curious.

I have it on a 6XC - MPA comp chassis, 26 Mullerworks Marksman profile barrel. Recoil was good before the brake went on, but there's a noticeable improvement with it on, the gun barely moves under recoil now, making follow up shots a lot easier. I reckon there's 35-40% less felt recoil and it doesn't direct the blast back at you unlike some of the others out there. I've been behind the APA Lil Bastard and 419 Hellfire and find the Heathen a lot more pleasant to be behind.
