Hawkins M5 Long Latch with .308

Hey Hide,

I have an extra Hawkins M5 DBM lying around at home that used to live on a .223 and therefore is set up with the Long Latch. The .223 has been re-homed and I'm working on a new build now that's centered around a blueprinted Remington 700 in .308. Has anyone tried using one of these long latches with a .308? Should I anticipate problems?

Hi there! You will probably find that a standard AICS magazine will ride too high with the extended latch in our short action M5 DBM. We sell a short latch kit that you can install in the bottom metal you already have to accept standard AICS mags.
