Heathen Muzzle Break

I have one installed on my AI AX in 260 Rem. Works as well for recoil mitigation as an APA little bastard I’ve also used. No issues at all with accuracy. As for POI shift, don’t know. I put the Heathen brake on a new barrel and haven’t had a reason to swap it out.

My favorite brake.

I also have owned APA gen 2 lil B and an Area 419 brake.

Heathen is superior. Recoil reduction just as good as the other two brakes, less concussion to the shooter, doesn't require any tools to time/tighten (unlike APA), doesn't get carbon locked (unlike Area 419), doesn't have sharp as a knife gills to cut your hands on (unlike Area 419).

Overall, it's the best designed self timing brake I've put my hands on. I personally haven't noticed any POI issues. Guns shoot very accurate with them.

Before I got my suppressors I used an aluminum Heathen brake. It was extremely high quality and much more enjoyable to shoot than the APA Little Bastard that preceded it. If I was going to go back to using a muzzle brake, it'd be a Heathen again.

I just recently bought a Heathen brake for my 308 to replace the JEC I’ve been running. The heathen actually moved POI up one inch and opened up my groups to about 1”. I put the JEC back on and groups went back to .25” like before.

Also this a 90’s Remington custom shop rifle shooting 175 Gold Metal Match. I’m sure if I was a reloader I could make a round that shot well.
