Hey, I have been trying to read through this thread now for a little while, I mostly keep to myself though. I am currently in the Army and planning on getting out in about 18 months. I am hoping to get a light job in a big PD back home while I am finishing up my CJ degree. Anyway, as far as shooting experience I have been shooting since I was 10 or so with my grandpa, he taught me more about being a man than shooting past 200m. When I got back from downrange I bought a close setup to what I used to have (a little nicer). I am shooting a m700 sps varmint in .308 with leupold mk4 mod3 and harris 6-9 bipods (I know I stick to what the Army gave me a little too much). Unfortunately the only range within 2 hours of here (as far as I know) maxes out at 400m. I am kind of looking into what I guess you would call a "walk and shoot" at LBL to get a better longrange practice in, I don't really know how that kind of thing works though. I used to go to the range on post for 800m shots, with a buddy, who gave everything for all of us, but now I can't go there because the "tacticool douches" take up the entire day and just talk about their $5000 setups; they have more stickers than they do rounds down range. I'm sorry to ramble I was just hoping to get out there and maybe someone could give some advice on anything.

Strads.
