Hello @Trimax2 and welcome. I was just in Georgia for Christmas. I spent ages 1-19 in GA and my folks still live there. In N. KY now.
Speaking of the A-10. Back in the early 90's if I tried to sleep late....the sounds of the GAU-8/A Avenger would wake me from a deep sleep in my condo in Destin, FL while it was being fired on the back side of Eglin AFB. Glad I wasn't on the opposing end of that thing in the sandbox. That was nothing compared to being awakened by the GBU-43/B...aka... MOAB later in the early 2000's....freaking car alarms going off and garage doors rattling from 30 miles away.
AF said they only tested a few....heh...try telling that to my sleep schedule.

What part of GA where you in? I’m a few miles away from Robins Air Force base and get fly overs coming and going. No live fire drills tho. Was cool watching Air Force one fly over the house when Trump came the last time. Still have a video from the driveway lol.
I'm originally from Pike County, GA. In the country between Griffin and Zebulon. When I was a Boy Scout...I spent a lot of time at Camp Ben Hawkins in Byron, GA...which isn't too far through the woods from you. That was a million years ago it seems. The Air Shows at WRAFB were always fun as a child. I'm a huge lover of the F4 Phantom.
Now, I'm in Northern Kentucky doing the work thing...always doing the work thing.....but it affords the rifle thing...so it is all good.
