I have been an avid outdoorsman my whole life, I have always had a passion for hunting and fishing. Over the past ten years my interest in long range precision shooting has been growing, started with precision air rifles, an awesome Daystate, to a custom built Rem 700 .308, and recently added a few really nice guns to my collection and I'm ready to get a little more serious so I figured where else better to get some get information and education. Really looking forward to spending more time on the hide. Now only to find some longer ranging shooting facilities in MI, tough to get somewhere beyond 200yds.

Thanks in Advance
Kevin

on the border of indiana/michigan there is youngslongshot.com which is a 100% range only. no comps or closures. open 365 days a year. sun up to sun down. sunday starts at 12 noon. must become a member to shoot there. 1000yd range with several steel plates every 100yds. Also incl with membership is use of the gator to go down range.

Welcome to the Hide! I'm a member of Youngs longshot as well, great place. If you wish to jump into shooting matches look up Michigan Precision Rifle Steel Challenge, MPRSC. We are on facebook and matches are held at MTC near Lake City.

I too am new to the game and forum. Plan is to practice this winter and perhaps enter a PRS match in spring. Been building up my inventories and working 500-1200 regularly via the bench. Now time for prone and barricades which will be entirely new to me ... hell, just shot my first buck last year (8pt) and dropped a 10 (double droptine) this yr. Hope my luck continues with the new retirement sport as I like the sound of steel vs the whiff of a golf club.
