Hi all, I recently joined the group. I have lurked around on this page in the past for information. A divorce a few years ago forced me to sell almost all of my rifles except my H&K MR762A1. Not long ago I decided to get back into the game and bought a Rem 700 5R gen2 in 300 win. After that I started looking for ideas on here and decided to join the group. Eventually I would like to get into some PRS matches with my brother. I’m excited to be a part of this group!!

Upper Nissqually sportsman's club has monthly PRS type matches, and they also qualify to hold some of the PRS points matches. I'm not sure if your 300 win mag would be allowed to shoot though as magnums or rifles with a velocity over 3150 fps are normally not allowed because they knock over or otherwise damage the targets and slow down the match.
They are well run matches and the group the shoots there is pretty friendly, and encouraging to new shooters.

My brother and I are going to work on some loads with 220 SMK’s with a velocity around the 2700-2800. Hopefully we get good results. I’m in the very early stage of this, I don’t even have an optic on the rifle yet lol. I did buy a badger base from a member on here. I also have a viper PST gen 2 ordered and badger rings. So hopefully soon I will be hitting the range with it.
