Howdy, very nice site here, i am glad i found it! I am just starting to rekindle my interest in precision shooting. I used to do a lot of long range varmint hunting, before kids and careers, and am getting a renewed interest. I was using my dads model 70 in 6mm-284, but as I am now out on my own I figured I should have my own rifle

. I found a club about 15 minutes from my house with a nice 500yd range and I just picked up a Winchester model 70 Stealth in .300WSM. I have already found a ton of great info here and hope I can contribute as well!

Welcome to the Hide. Lots of good info on here and nearly anything you have questions about can be found with the search function or a quick question.

Not sure what is available in your area but near Cambridge/Zanesville Ohio there are two long distance shooting ranges. Rayners ( http://www.raynersrange.com/ )has steel plates from 234 to 1000 yards, Thunder Valley Precision ( http://thundervalleyprecision.com/ )has targets out to 1 mile.

Both have matches thruout the summer, Rayners first will be the 4th weekend of February and the same thru the rest of the Summer including a spring and fall Tactical Sniper Match. Thunder has something about every weekend so have to check their site for schedule.
