Night Vision Helmet mount IR light.... Suggestions???

In past night Helmet Pics. posted here .
The person that has the most Pimped out Night helmet with options I have ever seen is Skypup . If it can be mounted on a helmet I think he has it on his, or had it on it on .
.

I have a small side rail mounted SF IR light that works perfect, takes one 123 battery. Gives me about 50 yards IR capability and on the helmet that is all I want. No more weight than necessary. On the opposite side I have it's partner in white light. Both small SF lights

On my helmet, I use a small SF with white/ir /ir strobe combo. The light has a low, med, high function. The ir is good out to 20-40 yards or so depending how bright the moon is. For a hunter, maybe one with blue/ir would be idea. Good luck on your search!

How do you like it? That's the one I've been looking at. What's the distance on the IR

Personally I like the light for my needs. It's great if you need close range versatility. Works great indoors with no ambient light in low/med mode without washing out the nods.On high mode outdoors it's good up to 20 yards on a night like tonight to maybe 30-40yards on a moonless night. I live in southern Louisiana and go in some nasty places and need a short range light that I can use to see snakes and other critters up close. If you need something to reach further out I'm sure there are others on here that can better help you out. Hope I was able to help you out.

I really like the Streamlight Sidwinder Jr. Four settings for each LED- IR, red, blue, strong white. One CR123, it swivels and cants. I really don't think I could be happier with a helmet light. The IR on the highest setting is a flood, but can see coons' eye reflection for 35 yards no problem, as well as see the coon. I have an ATN variable 450mw IR on the other side of my helmet and it's good out to 200 yards if I crank up the output and tighten the beam to spot. It packs a lot into a small package too.

On the right side of my helmet I run an Armasight IR850W. It has a focusable beam from 2 degrees to 30, and adjustable power output. Indoors I can turn the power down and open the beam up. At long distances you can crank up the power and dial down the focus and see several hundred yards with it. It is small and light and runs on one CR123 battery.

On the left side I run a surefire light with IFF. Also on the left I have a little Photon micro IR light that works awesome for the size.

I have an Inforce IR weaponlight on my helmet. Fits perfectly on a pic rail so if you have a rail on the helmet its simple or get the $8 opscore pic rail for it and you're done.

175 lumens white light as well as IR
Thowlever to switch between the 2
Takes 2 CR123 battery
Has high, low, strobe

I have mine on the left side of my Crye Airframe on the ops core rail. It doesn't weigh much at all, its rugged (dropped the helmet on it a few times or hit something with it) and it just works.

I angled it so it looks straight ahead and use the IR light to move around in the mountains at night; the IR is bright and 'full' enough to be able to walk around, at night, with obstacles everywhere without having to grab your light/helmet to focus the beam on things before you walk into them. It's a spotlight for your head.

I have one of those tiny iR/white Princeton lights. The cheaper lightweight one that uses the small coin battery. It'll fit on a helmet rail, picatinny rail, molle loop or regular helmet mount, and doesn't use much space. Not super powerful, but I have that on my rifle. It allows other things to be mounted too.

TNVC has all kinds of mounts and such, and there are all kinds of lights depending on how big, heavy or powerful you want it. Surefire makes some nice stuff, including a small single batt. IR only light. The Vampire looks nice and has white light too if you want something big.
