Hoping to draw on some of the amazing knowledge of the hide group- anyone tell me what’s sitting on my desk? It’s mauserish but with square cut threads like a 1903. We’ve googled and asked around with no luck. Thanks!!!

Its a heavily sporterized Enfield, either P14 or M1917, that's had the rear sight "ears" milled off and bolt handle straightened.

It could also be a commercial Remington Model 30, but they were just factory modified military receivers Remington had left over from WWl.
