Im going to strip the barrel off my FN PBR and replace it with a lighter weight hunting barrel. Currently thinking about a PacNor #3 contour with 6 flutes, 17" long, 308, 1:10 poly, super match grade stainless steel blank.

For the stock, Im thinking Manners MCS-T. Do you guys think the thinner hunting barrel would look ridiculous in that stock? If so, Im going to go with the MCS-SL.

Anyone know if Manners can inlet the bottom for the FN bottom metal for the FN Mags?

Any thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated.

Probably going to shoot Barnes 180-200 grain bullets.

Re: Help me build a Hunting Rifle

Pretty sure Manners can hook you up with regards to your FN DBM.

Personally, I'd run a #2 Pacnor or smaller, sans flutes. Their #3 is a bit chubby, and is more akin to a #4 by most other manufacturers.

i just installed the badger dm a few days ago and the final weight of my gun no optics is 10lbs 6oz. its a little heavier than i was hoping for but not extreamly heavy.
