Could you guys help me identify this rifle? Model, series, STOCK, suppressor, scope mount, scope, bipod. I believe the rifle is a Sauer 202 takedown. The scope I believe is a Barska tactical. It is from the movie, The International, with Clive Owen that came out in 2009. I haven't been able to identify the suppressor or stock as of yet. Thanks in advance! JT

They may want to test Murphy's Law.

They needed the extra money for someone's salary. Why the hell do they do half the stuff in movies. Like why the hell did they use a Sauer rifle and then put a Barska scope on it for the movie.

Re: Help me identify this rifle...

Thanks, BobinNC. Great photo. In the movie this rifle broke down like the traditional 202 takedown. There is a break in the stock just forward of the barrel housing. Only the forward 10 inches of the fore end. Barska? I don't know why they would use a Barska. 250 dollar scope on a 5000.00 rifle. Don't ask me.

Still trying to identify the suppressor and stock manufacturer.

Re: Help me identify this rifle...

Actually, now I've been told by Sauers dealer in Texas that the photo that is below my original is of a Sauer 202 with a standard synthetic stock. The image I provided is an actual 202 Takedown with a stock, he believes, is made by a German manufacturer for Sauer, Mauser and Blauser rifles. He is finding out about that stock and sending the photo to his class III dealer to see if he knows what the suppressor manufacturer is...... Barska! LOL Why? Maybe cause it's black and has a lot of knobs?

Wooo hoooo! I found the suppressor. I knew it was a Brugger & Thomet!

It is the SD-12889 by Brugger & Thomet, called the Accuracy .338 Suppressor. Won't be able to get these any longer I don't believe. Someone may be able to comment on the status of Brugger & Thomet as a company and suppressor distribution.

This suppressor is more suited to fine european sniper setups rather than military sniper setups IMHO. I believe surefire to be a good mil suppressor. Anyone else have a comment on what the Marine Corps Scout snipers use on their scout rifles?
