Bought a Mossy 44US, enclosed front sight, flip around peep sight. Got it as a trainer and for wabbit hunting (tasty).

Anyway, I like the setup save for one thing:

I would like to have a fully adjustable dovetail sight co-witnessed with the peep sight, so I can use either one (just flip the peep out of the way)

Questions:

Which sight?

Installation? Is this something I could do myself, or just take it to a smith?

I would not mount a dovetail sight on a model 44US, I would leave it alone and buy a model 42M or 46M which came with all three sights. At least that is a good excuse to buy another rifle.

My pops has a 42m and that thing is a tack driver, and of course, where I got the idea for the sight set up.
