greetings riflemen, and thanks in advance for your help. (I'm brand new to SH)

this is a picture of the buttstock on my SPR as it came from FN a few years ago. my concern.. the cheekpiece wobbles terribly! is that the way it's intended?

thanks again for any assist.

What do you mean wobbles?

This is a thumb wheel adjustable stock from McMillan with thumb screws. You adjust the cheek piece with the wheel then lock it down with the thumb screws.

If you don't lock it down then yes it will move or "wobble".

I am very curious to see that rifle. Can you post a couple pics of the whole thing? I have never seen such a cheekpiece (or stock for that matter) on a factory FN. TIA.

HateCA is correct, if you don't have the thumb knobs to lock it down it will wiggle. If you need a couple knobs just send me a pm.
