I just inherited about 7 Leupold vx III some are 6.5 to 20 and some are 4 to 14's. Anyhoo, the gent who passed them on to me was a fan of the target dot which I can not really see. So do I send them in for a change? Sell the lot of them and buy something new? or just learn to like the dot? They'll mostly go on my 2 savage fcp .308 and a sako .223

How do you plan on using the rifles? Target Dot reticles have their place. Just not in a tactical rifle. Target Dots are great for F class applications though.

What I would do is keep a couple of the scopes and sell the rest. I'm not much a Leupold fan but they do make a decent scope. At the very least you would have some nice back-up optics.

Well, I have yet to be bitten by the long range bug.... The place by me has a 200 yarder and thats about it. So my "long" guns don't really get to stretch their legs at all. I usually go punch holes in paper about 2x a month and that's really all the time I get.
