I am having a dilemma. I purchased a new CADEX 6.5 CM and I used my Magnetospeed to crono the FPS with a Harvester can on it and got an average of only 2615 FPS using factory Hornady 140 ELDM'S at 40 degrees F. All my other 6.5's are running over 2700 FPS. Any help would be appreciated.

barrel length and twist different? were your shot velocities consistent or a higher SD? i get around 2715 with my 26" 1-8.

All 24" barrels and 1-8 twist rate. Velocities were consitent . SD 20

All my other guns average about 2715-2725

Sounds like the barrel is new. Probably just needs to be broke in. Many people say a barrel will speed up around the 100 round mark. Not sure if it will be 100 fps, but you'll probably see some increase. Also, some barrels are just faster or slower than others.
My 26" benchmark gives me 2840-2850 with that same ammo.

My 26” Bartmein, Tb 9” can, jump of 0.025”, and 42.5 grains of 4350 gets 2800 fps.
Again your rifle will tell you what you can do with the jump and can and powder load.

Could just be a slow barrel or generous chamber or both. My 27" Bartlein is 2820fps with factory 140 ELDs. My 28" is 2880fps.
