Hey chaps,
I have just recieved my k&m neck turning tool, mandrel and expandiron (.30 cal)
for uniforming my brass.
I have just about every other tool needed for case prep, but still feel different neck tensions when seating bullets, this bugs me, so even though I'm just using a blue printed remmy action, I thought I would try out some turning to even up neck tension.
(hope)
however, I have not recieved any setup/operation instructions, and was hoping someone could talk me through it briefly, or link me to some tutorial or something??
Again, I'm only interested in neck uniformity, not turning to fit a precise tight neck chamber.
My fired brass is slack on the mandrels, so do I run them thru a lee collet die first? I want to neck size with my Forster neck bushing die, but it has no expander to uniform the I.d ... I'm sitting here surrounded by tools, with a blank look on my face.
I know the easy option is to prep and load up my usual routine.. But having spent the money, I want to at least try this neck turning thing!!
Thanks in advance,
giles.
