Ok - So I was stripping paint off a HS Stock from a Rem 5R, and got a bit too aggressive w/ the scraper... so I managed to put some gashes in the finish.... any idea what I could use to put in there to fill the gouge and be able to sand it? Bondo like a car? Thanks for your help!

Marine tex is what I like for filler, texture, and general bedding stuff. Easy to work with and pretty strong. Steel bed works well too.

Look up Automotive Spot Glazing Putty. Then use 3M Sandblaster sanding sponge to cut it all down even, start with 180grit, complete it with 320 grit.
