Suppressors help w suppressor ?s

ordered a YHM phantom 7.62...just bought savage 10 prescision carbine...planning on having the barrel cut down a little and threaded for QD
Any input on length...what is the process to thread a barrel (does it have to be removed form action)...any one have this setup...Ive been reading for weeks
BTW this is my first post, I a new boot on the forum

Take the rifle to a gunsmith that has exp. with threading barrels for silencers. The align. is critical and a good gunsmith will know that. You can expect to pay about 100-150 for a thread job and thread protector.

20" is good all around, I have an FN cut to 16.5 and like it, kinda handy. Find a good smith to do the work right the first time and ask for specs from YHM on their threading..
