The Great Beyond
While I love my ZCO, I don't have ZCO money to spend on every rifle. So for the bastard red-haired step child rifles I am looking to upgrade some early purchased glass to something more civilized.

Budget: 1k-2k (New)
Glass: Good (Duh)--some of my models have REALLY bad chromatic aberation--also my eyes are shit so I really apreciate clarity. I realize this is relative, not gotta get TT or ZCO level glass, but you know.
Reticle: I like trees and mrad divisions (MPT3/MPT2). Thinner reticles.
Mag 3/6 ish to 18-25 ish (PRS level magnification--up to 1200 yards --yes I shoot 1200 with a 3-18 Bushnell Elite) 3-18, 3-15, 4-20, 5-25, 6-30
Zero Stop: Big must have--I really do not like models that just have a dial indicator--with the amount of dialing, I really prefer a zero stop
Zeroing: Turret Spin style. I like my vortex, but I hate having to move the crosshair separate from the dial. I like to zero--then unlock and spin the turrets to zero.
Illuminated: Don't care never use it
Usual: side Parallax, Wind/Ele in Mrad prefered, more important is that it matches the reticle.

TLDR: ZCO clone with MPT2 style reticle for 1-2K (yes i know it will not be as good, many rifles to feed, not everyone gets to be top dawg rifle)

Replacing an old Vortex PST and Bushnell elite from circa 2005ish.

Burris XTR-III 3.3-18x50 or 5.5-30x56 with the SCR2 MIL reticle should get the job done. It's on sale for a REALLY good price right now.

Other solid options in that range...
