So I picked up a 4500 nv then I got a 4500 AB with Bluetooth

I thought I had them set up right but I'm getting very different results. Am I missing something

Also pulled a photo of environmentals from Ballistic AE

Yeah, I would have to go read the FAQ on kestrel site. There is a thing there where you set your ref alt. at 0 like you did but there is also a reference pressure you can set and there is some kind of auto set which feeds back, I am sorry I am not making any sense probably.
Check your screen where it says REFERENCE barometric pressure on the bottom and compare the numbers also go in the settings on that screen and check the options.

Also this may sounds stupid, there is a little hole on the back bottom hump of the kestrel, is that plugged or dirty?

Also this may sound stupid but did you give both meters at least 15 minutes to "acclimate" ?

The hole in the back is clear. And I went ahead and did factory resets on both and they have been sitting next to each other for about 24 hours now.
Went ahead and filled out the purchase for factory calibration. Will run me $40 plus shipping there. I figure it's a no Rainer to make sure I have working confidence in the data at this point

Baro is a relative reading and you must calibrate yourself based on a reference altitude from a map. You should be using station pressure, not baro anyway for most ballistic applications. If you've already done that by following the instructions on the Kestrel site, then you have a faulty unit or something.
