For those considering participating in a shoot, naturally, each match is peculiar. Some permit the shooter to use whatever he or she can carry as shooting aids and tools, from stage to stage, e.g.; bipods of various lengths and shooting sticks. Bring all kinds of gun supports. Simply leave those not permitted in your vehicle. There might be a later stage permitting tools not otherwise permitted. Think expansively. A technique or tool not addressed in the rules might well be permitted. In addition to elite marksmanship, thinking and doing "out of the box" is one way experienced competitors place high or win.

Most matches will let you know: if bipods or front support must stay attached to the rifle for whole event, or if shooting off back pack or tripods is allowed, some matches let you use shooting stick. Most of our local matches are timed soooo short you don't have time to set anything up other than your bipod & rear bag.
