Here we go, new gun grabbing legislation in Florida!

Let's take a real deep breath. There's bills like this in every state and every congress, regardless of who controls the majority. It's always introduced into a committee. I'm not saying that we shouldn't be diligent but maybe need to look at this with some perspective

It blows that the thoughts of "that will never happen" seem to offer no relief. I have had some words with some of my shooting friends that say "well we got through 8 years of obama". How can that even be a relevant statement? I'm not sure these folks are bluffing any more. Where will it stop... How can we stop it sooner? No definate answer to shit anymore.

There is absolutely ZERO chance of this passing. The guy is grand-standing. He's doing something controversial to get attention from his base, and nothing more.

I think I read somewhere that this Bill is introduced every year. Never has a chance. I'm hoping for the same this year.

I’m a bit discouraged by the many “don’t worry, be happy” replies. Just because there’s little chance of something like this passing in FL this year, or maybe in the next 10 years is meaningless. They’ve signaled their intentions, and we continue to lose ground — Every. Single. Year.

“They” keep pushing because “they” see the same thing we do — they advance more and we retreat without a fight.

This is NOT the time to “take a deep breath” and “relax.” This IS the time to take their unabated assault on the Constitution as seriously as they do. It IS a clear and present danger. Why on earth would you wait for the invasion to breach your borders. You repel them as far out as you can. You don’t sit there and watch them lob mortars into your territory just because they haven’t hit anything important... yet.

They want your rights. Period. And by all accounts, they’re well on their way to stealing them without a fight.

You can't stop them from submitting a Bill. Impossible. Most of the times these types of Bills never make it out of committee. But if they do, Florida is strong enough to defeat it.

This isn't just Florida. Some of the most outrageous Bills are submitted all over this great land. 99% are never heard, 99.999% never make it out of committee. Now what happens in 10 years??? I don't know. Maybe the next 4 years will sour the taste of Americans for Socialist rule. Maybe we'll be duck walking and saluting every government official. Who knows. The future is not predictable.

Every time some “representative” submits anti-Constitutional legislation, it should trigger an avalanche of public outcry. They should deluge their office with phone calls, emails and petitions. They should be called out in the media as oathbreakers. But no on ever does, and they inch closer every year, because our lazy conservative asses say “meh, it has no chance of passing.”

We reap what we sow, and I see a bumper crop of progressive legislation coming in the next harvest — no matter where you live.

How did they get binary triggers banned And the purchase age raised? Let’s not forget those waiting periods still exist.

Look at everything that’s happened in the last few weeks, is there a normal anymore? Is anything possible? Who would have thought that we‘d see Parler taken down, the President being shut out of social media? Not sure there’s much time to keep kicking the “nothing to worry about can“ anymore. It’s a whole new world and I put nothing past the powers to be!!

You're correct. Those Demwits do know how to eat an elephant. What is happening today is not something new. They've been working towards the end for many years. We however seem to be fire fighters. All we do is put out the fire after it's started.

Anyone think those R and D numbers will change midterm voting?
Has been proven no one has any appetite to verify the vote.

R
We shall see. If I were the Demwits, I'd not rock the boat too much these first 2 years. Don't jump on the 2A until after the mid term elections. I don't want to say more, but there's a lot the Demwits could do to make our lives a living hell but not until 2023.

Happens every year. These Bills rarely make it out of the committee.

The reason why these bills never make it out of committee for the most part is because alert netizens like us are capturing them and putting them online so everyone can be alerted and notified.

Great job folks, and keep it up! Use 🚨 icon for important stuff like this so we give it more visibility.

A legislator introduced a bill. That's what they do. You can't stop them from doing it. It doesn't mean anything if it doesn't pass. If they were serious about eroding the 2nd Am. rights, they'd chip away by adding a rider to an unrelated bill. This is not that. It's the absolute worst possible legislation that they're making no attempt whatsoever to actually get through. It's entirely meant to send a message that the legislator proposing it is hard on guns. It's not serious legislation whatsoever.

Yeah, you alarmists need to be alarmed about federal legislation where the Dems own both houses of congress and the executive. Florida state legislation? Nah, let me worry about that... I'm a resident. I'm telling you, the state house is Republican. The state Senate is Republican. So, the legislature is under no great threat. The governor is Republican. The Attorney General is Republican. Worry about other commie states. Worry about the fed. Those are relevant, imminent, and reasonable fears.

BREAKING: 11 NEW ANTIGUN BILLS FILED IN FLORIDA

New York and New Jersey style gun bans and draconian restrictions designed to make firearm ownership and defensive use as difficult as possible. Criminalizing the act of passing on a firearm to a friend or family member, requiring guns to be stored locked and unloaded even in residences, etc...

GOA is on this and urges everyone to contact their local and state reps.

----------
SB 186 is a radical gun confiscation scheme goes far beyond the (Federal) Lautenberg Amendment on Domestic Violence. It does so by making so called "Red Flag" gun confiscation Laws even worse by allowing more frivolous claims to be filed against an innocent person. SB 186 denies people their Fourth Amendment rights and Second Amendment rights, all in one bill.

SB 330 is a bill that makes selling, giving or loaning a firearm to a friend, neighbor or family member without FDLE approval a criminal offense. We call it a "sell a gun to a friend and go to jail" bill.

SB 370 is a semi-automatic firearm and magazine ban bill, similar to the Clinton/Biden/Schumer gun ban in effect from 1994 2004. However, there is no sunset clause, and you can't transfer ownership of the pre-banned items since they must be registered to you. Of course, you know that registration leads to eventual confiscation.

SB 372 is a ban on homemade firearms and parts and 80% receivers and even goes so far to target 3D printing.

SB 428, SB 294, and HB 167 are mandatory storage bills that require firearms to be locked up in your house, making self-defense in the event of a home invasion close to impossible. They are trying to institute a similar law that was in place in our Nation's Capital prior to DC v. Heller.

HB 25 requires a background check for ammunition sales and will most certainly end the online and mail order sale of ammunition and could possibly drive-up prices locally due to the increased workload on local dealers. In an attempt to trick uninformed gun owners into mistakenly supporting HB 25, they have also introduced HB 27 making background check records exempt from "online sunshine" public records requests.

SB 672 and HB 6033 repeal the states preemption laws that forbid any municipality from passing their own gun control laws. That means that if this bill passes, there would be a patch work of laws that ban firearms and magazines across the state.

----------

Do your self a favor kill the bill before it becomes a problem, once it is a problem you wont be able to kill it.

Every time a new bill apears crush it quick.
